Right To Information Act

Right to Information Act 2005 mandates timely response to citizen requests for government information. The basic object of the Right to Information Act is to empower the citizens,promote transparency and accountability in the working of the Government. The Act is a big step towards making the citizens informed about the activities of the Government.

Applications for information under RTI Act, 2005 from Jansankhya Sthirata Kosh (JSK) may be addressed to Executive Director, Jansankhya Sthirata Kosh 285, August Kranti Bhawan, 1st Floor, Annie Besant Gate, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi - 110066 clearly specifying the information required from the records of JSK. The fee of Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten only) in respect of such application is to be made by way of Indian Postal Order/Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque payable to “Executive Director, Jansankhaya Sthirata Kosh”.
